It was a horrible day to start with, when I arrived early afternoon it was pouring, so I grabbed my list of dogs and took a detour to the cattery to check in and see if any cats needed doing whilst it was hammering down and was surprised by a whole load of newbies in need of a photo. Poor Johnny was the only one I couldn't get - he's a sensitive lad who's quite people shy and really makes you wonder what cruelty has befallen him previously :( He's my first unsuccessful candidate, but he got so stressed he leapt at me, up the walls and generally got quite frantic, so as soon as it was safe, I stepped out to let him calm down. Poor boy. I''m sure with time and care he will be much calmer and is a beautiful big boy. Find a home soon mate!
I also went back to see Buster, he's still looking for his home and the same old lovable LARGE pup he was the first time I met him. We had a big snog and loads of cuddles as he plopped his rather large self right on my knee and belly rubs and cuddles were the only thing on his mind. It's a shame his size puts people off as he will make an outstanding companion for people with the ability to control a huge muscular dog, give him plenty exercise and all those hugs and kisses he desperately craves!
